In July 2020, I invented a new instrument, which I dubbed the piano pitch machine. (The instrument is entirely digital — it lives inside my computer — so don’t ask for a photo of it.)

Later that month, I took the piano pitch machine for a test flight, writing original music for the instrument. I deemed the test flight a success, and I am now making the album available for your listening pleasure.

The album contains four tracks of the piano pitch machine, followed by an early test of a new instrument, the cello pitch machine. (The music for the cello pitch machine explores the “neutral third” interval — hence the name of the track.)
